Confirmation Bias is my first published novel. I’ve written a second, Take What You Want And Pay For It, and am working on a third.
In non-fiction, I’ve been published plenty: See the accompanying box for a selection of my published non-fiction articles, essays and books, along with interviews on my work.
In my legal career, I was chair of the Corporate Governance Committee of the American Bar Association Business Law Section and worked primarily on corporate and securities matters. I was general counsel for a semiconductor company that was acquired by Intel and as outside counsel worked with institutional investors and operating companies. Before law school I worked as a newspaper editor and reporter, and in law school free-lanced a page of news satire for the Boston Herald.
From my professional experience I saw too often how people tasked with executing policy and business decisions can be driven by personal motives to take or conceal actions at odds with their official duties. That perspective informs both of my novels. While the novels target espionage fans, such elements as computerized impersonation, disinformation warfare, and money laundering impart a “ripped from the headlines” quality that I hope will also appeal to a broader audience.
